About AAAAR
AAAAR is an initiative inserted in a longer tradition of autonomous groups in the academy such as the darker side of the academy, AG Migration, among others. These initiatives are as well closely connected to the student movement protests of 2009.
AAAAR is a group of migrants, artists, activists, students, workers, who organize this art auction with the purpose to collect money to fight racist laws in Austria and administrative regulations against those coming to study from countries outside of the European Union.
An initiative from:
Imayna Caceres, Miriam Raggam, and Joanna Wilk. Along with: Seraina Renz, Ekoj, Lisa Lnenicka, Verena Melgarejo Weinandt, Marissa Lobo, Paula Pfoser and the class of Postconceptual Art Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
